CAPCA Project's cooperatives

CAPCA project currently has three cooperatives (KITFA, BUCAFA and Biganda cooperatives) which it started in  (Bukomansimbi district) where it works. It has so far supported these cooperatives since 2019 and it is still supporting them  both knowledge and financial support. 

Trainings CAPCA Gives its cooperatives and their outputs

Governance, Climate Smart Agriculture, lobby & Advocacy, Financial management & Record keeping, Post-Harvest handling Practices.

The trainings have helped farmers to improve production & productivity of crops especially Coffee and Maize. And on the side of skills training, cooperative leaders improved skills in managing their cooperatives which has also resulted into improved business turnover.

Biganda Cooperative

Biganda is an outstanding cooperative in Bukomansimbi district and the entire Uganda. the cooperative has done tremendous things mainly to lift the livelihoods of its members and other people of Bukomansimbi district. With the support of CAPCA project the cooperative was able to purchase a lorry and it also produces processed coffee which end user buy for their household use …. [+]

SAMADI Project's cooperatives

SAMADI Project is currently supporting three cooperatives (Kyazanga Twezimbe multipurpose Cooperative, Tulibumu Lwengo Farmers’ Cooperative & Katovu Malongo farmers’ Cooperative). These cooperatives are all found in Lwengo District where SAMADI works. The cooperatives are slowly progressing  though still many challenges mainly caused by the long dry seasons that halter their crops.
