Work Masaka Clean (WOMAC) project following its task of preserving the environment, have introduced a new skill and practice in the region. Three CBOs in Nyendo town, a suburb of Masaka city were supported by WOMAC project with machinery and skills to make briquettes out of the garbage they collect from streets. This new venture of making briquettes will lead to reduction of tree cutting for charcoal making hence preserving the environment. The venture will also reduce the high emission of carbon in the space which reduces respiratory healthy problem by 60% .
